Release Status
Data Relay Link separates the published stable release from the mutable developmentmain branch.
Current stable
The qualified v2.2.1 candidate and the published release tree were identical. Published v2.2.0 remains an immutable historical release.
Stable vs development main
For field installations and documentation claims, use the latest published release/tag as the source of truth. Do not replace the immutable stable tag with mutable main unless you intentionally want development-channel behavior.
This distinction is especially important when a feature has already landed on main but has not yet shipped in a published release.

Data Relay Link version policy
Data Relay Link does not automatically adopt the newest upstream Data Relay Link release. The project pins an upstream version, validates it, and then ships it as part of the qualified project release. Current bundled/tested relay engine:show upstream is informational; it does not mean that a newer upstream binary is automatically supported.
Stable platform summary
v2.2.1 has Real E2E validation for Ubuntu 24 physical, Rocky Linux 8.10, Rocky Linux 9.4, Amazon Linux 2023, macOS Apple Silicon, and Windows 10 / PowerShell 5.1. Amazon Linux 2 remains container/CI portability only, and PowerShell 7 is CI validated unless a real test host actually haspwsh installed.
See Supported Platforms for the exact validation matrix and Known Limits for current product boundaries.
